Be

When I was young
My parents told me
I could be whatever I wanted to be.

Getting older,
I realize they were lying to me.
I couldn’t be what I wanted to be. I wanted to be with you.

I made this trash while on the shitter. Just to poke fun at shallow poems, like the ones I make on a regular basis.
